// REGISTRY SPLURGES //

These have been my tried and true items that, IN MY OPINION, are worth the price tag. I am in no way saying, you must buy these exact products. If you are interested in purchasing, I have added the links below for you, most are linked to purchase through Amazon.

To start off, the Owlet is by far the item that has given us and is still given us a peace of mind for every nap/bedtime. The Owlet Dream Sock tracks your baby’s sleep quality like heart rate, oxygen level, movement, and wakings. You can view all of that in their Owlet Dream App.

Next, the Newton Crib Mattress – Original – was another one that helped us sleep a little better through the night. It’s 100% breathable and washable. It incredibly easy to wash which was very helpful for those nights where the diapers became too full or even to clean spit up/drool. I personally didn’t feel it was worth the extra money for the waterproof because the ease of washing the cover.

The monitor we chose was the Infant Optics DXR-8. The image is clear, the battery lasts long, has a range up to 700 feet, and you can tilt/zoom/pan with the monitor. The biggest reason we chose this one though is because it’s only viewable by you because it doesn’t connect to Internet and cannot be hacked.

The Hatch Baby Grow Smart Changing Pad and Scale was another that was just helpful for my worries or anxiety about weight gain. So for us, this was one of the items that we mainly used in between appointments for the weight feature, but everyday as a changing pad. You can also measure how much they are eating in between feedings, it’s very easy to clean, you can also log sleep and diapers. With their app, all of these can be easily accessible and you can also invite your spouse to be able to view as well.

Another Hatch product that we use daily is the Hatch Rest Baby Sound Machine. It’s an all-in-one device that is a sound machine and a night light. The sound machine is customizable, you can set your favorite settings, they offer sleep programs, and it can be controlled through their app.

The Lovevery Play Gym was SUCH a great purchase, recommended by a friend of ours. There are definitely other cost effective alternatives for this product, but I truly felt this was worth the price because of all of it’s features and how much Maverick used/loved this. It can be used throughout their first year and has different developmental zones, detachable toys, and also comes with activity cards. It even comes with a cover to make the space into a fort for toddlers.

Our last splurge item is the BabyBjörn Bouncer – Balance Soft. This was lightweight, easy to clean, and the fabric was so soft. We took this all over the house with us and eventually, Maverick learned how to control the rocking. He had days where he would rock himself to sleep because the natural rocking was more soothing to him. This bouncer provides an ergonomic design that provides the correct support for your baby’s back, neck, and head.

// REGISTRY EVERYDAY ITEMS //

I wouldn’t call these items registry splurges, but these are things we definitely used on a daily basis.

Starting with diapers, we tried Pampers initially and were gifted a lot of Pampers, but because Maverick has such sensitive skin we made the switch to Coterie Diapers. These were a GAME CHANGER for us, we haven’t had a diaper rash since making the switch. They are pricey, but are 100% worth it for us. They minimize leaks, blowouts, diaper rash, they are incredibly soft and hypoallergenic. These worked well for us overnight, as he got older, we would size up for overnights.

• The cost will depend on the size you need // Link to Get $10 off your First Purchase

The wipes we chose were the Pampers Pure. There are some other similar options, but I found that those were a little more pricey. They have good moisture, they are a clean product, with plant-based materials, and they are 99% water. These have been great with our sensitive babe.

• These are on Amazon right now for $26.44, but if you Subscribe you will pay $25.12 // Click Here to Purchase

Next up, Kyte Baby Sleep Bags!! We will forever be a customer!! Even if these are not on the registry or you are unsure, these helped us and our sleep journey (which we will talk about in another post). The quality/material is great [especially for sensitive skin or eczema babies], they are a bit more pricey, but we plan on keeping these for the future for another little one. The offer different tog options; 0.5, 1.0, and 2.5. Highly breathable, 97% bamboo rayon with 3% spandex. The tog you choose should be decided with what temperature your house is set too, because we usually keep ours around the 73-74 degree mark we chose to go with the 1.0 tog. I would recommend having a couple on hand, I learned this the hard way. If you have blowouts, pee that seeps through, or even a lot of spit up it’s helpful to have extras while washing the dirty one(s). If not, you might have a tough time getting a nap in, if you babe is used to sleeping with one. We typically have 3 of the size we use and rotate through them.

• They range from $50.00 – $60.00 depending to the tog selected // Click Here to Purchase 0.5 Tog // Click Here to Purchase 1.0 Tog // Click Here to Purchase 2.5 Tog

The Dock A Tot (Deluxe+) Dock was so great to have on hand from about 0-5 months (for us). They have many different prints for their covers, they were easy to take off to wash, and lounge in while being supervised. It mimics the womb, was tested to make sure it’s safe, and is great for travel. We truly used this everyday, whether it was for a cat nap (he was always supervised), diaper changes, or tummy time.

• The Dock A Tot starts at $195.00 // Click Here to Purchase

The next thing we use/still use is the Boppy Nursing Pillow. Being a first time mom, not really know about whether I was breastfeeding or using formula I wanted to still have one to help me prop or hold him up while doing different nursing positions. This really saved me from having to hold him up, especially on those long and tired nights I was able to reserve some of my strength.

• The Boppy Nursing Pillow has a few different purchase options and I will link them below ranging from $20.00-45.00 // Click Here for the Bare Nursing Pillow // Click Here for a Rainbow Nursing Cover // Click Here for the Gray Taupe Watercolor – Pillow + Cover

// REGISTRY NICE TO HAVE ITEMS //

These items were most definitely nice to have in the house, just incase! I will go into further detail while linking each piece.

First off, I love having the Diaper Genie, especially since the nursery is upstairs. NOW, if you didn’t have an upstairs I definitely think this is one of those items that might not be a necessity. The downside is having to buy the refills which can get pricey, but for the convenience it was worth it to us.

• The Diaper Genie Registry Set is $90.00 and was a great starter kit // Click Here to Purchase

Second, I added bottles to my registry, but what I did wrong was add one type/brand. It took us three different bottles before we found one that he would actually take to. My recommendation would be to add a couple of different ones at first, then once you find the one you can go ahead and purchase others. We ended up with the Comotomo Bottles which is what I will link below. They are a great option for breastfed/formula babies!!

Now, the Fridababy products I have listed we have used and I would add these on your registry for one of those “just-in-case” situations. The NoseFrida was not something I was too sure about, but it truly does work!! The DermaFrida (Cradle Cap System) is something we still use if there are any dry patches on his scalp. It works well and has lasted us. The Friday Baby 3-in-1 Humidifier with diffuser and nightlight isn’t something we use often, but we have a few times and it’s perfect for what we need. I really love the Frida products, because they’re relatively affordable.

• Portable Sound Machine depending on the color you choose is $21.00-$30.00 // Click Here to Purchase

• Munchkin Arm and Hammer Diaper Bag Dispenser $4.99 // Click Here to Purchase * We keep this in the car or diaper bag!

• Munchkin Arm and Hammer Diaper Bag Refills $9.39 // Click Here to Purchase

• Electric Baby Nail Trimmer is currently $22.00 // Click Here to Purchase ** One of the easiest things to use!! I was 100% worried about using nail clippers, but this is a much better/affordable alternative!!
