DAIRY-FREE + GLUTEN-FREE FOODS WE LOVE

// WHY DF + GF? //
To start off, I’ll explain a little bit of WHY we are choosing to eat DF + GF. As a nursing mama, I started noticing some skin irritations before, but mainly when introducing solids at about 6 months (our pediatrician approved us to start). At the time, I was consuming a decent amount of dairy each day. I could NOT get his eczema under control nor could I understand WHY.
After reading, researching, and trying out all other products that wouldn’t help; I started really taking a look at what Maverick was consuming in a day and when would the irritation get worse. I came to the consensus that dairy was a major issue for us. So, then, we started our DAIRY-FREE journey.. There were many people who told me it would be so difficult to do it, but I really felt motivated because I was at a point where I wanted to continue nursing, I wasn’t ready to stop. Others may want or need to make a switch to formula and THAT IS OKAY.. A FED BABY IS WHAT IS BEST!!!
After being DF for about one whole month, I saw such a huge difference I was CONVINCED. Two months went by, and it still has improved so much but I wanted to help my baby be fully free from his eczema, so we are now in this journey to being GLUTEN-FREE as well!
Now that I’ve shared the WHY, I’ll share the snacks/sides that help me with be DF + GF without having to prepare/cook foods all day.

On Thrive Market, we order a few things for Maverick – mainly just two brands. He is currently doing BLW, but I wanted him to have the healthiest snacks for in between his real meals.
We love the Amara Organic Smoothie Melts because they have no added sugar, gluten free, and dairy free! * The Beets n’ Berries flavor is NOT dairy-free (we tried these before we became DF). It’s such an easy way to get some fruits and veggies in, and they have very minimal ingredients + whole ingredients.
The Serenity Kids brands is our favorite because they are grain-free, dairy-free, nut-free, corn-free, clean ingredients, no added sugars, rice-free, and soy-free. Made with bone broth and veggies, and cassava root. A much healthier alternative to some other options that are available.
